I’m an independent writer and publisher of a wine review magazine that is heavily focused on original photography. After three different print houses, I must say that Mixam is the best of all. The intuitive platform for design and ordering, communication through unforeseen delays (proactive) and most impressive is the final product; paper so sensuous I just want to hold it in my hand. I see that I need to be a bit more exacting in the prep work I send them but they are hands on with addressing outliers. Highly recommended and their price is about 20% less than the last printer I used.

Our 8-year-old son created his own comic book and the local comic book shop told him that if he printed it, they'd display it in their store for sale and would split the proceeds with him. He was excited by this and I helped him scan his drawings and found Mixam's website for the printing. The templates provided are super helpful, and his comic book turned out AMAZING, everything looks correct, the color looks good, the binding is nice and professional and it's generally high quality. He's doing a "launch party" soon at the comic book store where he will sign his comics for his "fans." Thanks Mixam for helping to make this possible!

Booklet Print File Setup

How to upload your files
You can upload your files in a way that suits you - as single pages or spreads, individual files for each page, or as a single combined file.
Important - your cover
Your cover is made up of four pages - a front cover, an inside front cover, a back cover, and an inside back cover.
Bleed
We ask for a 1/8" bleed on all booklets. Please do not include any important content within this area.
Binding
The binding options available for booklets are: saddle stitched or stapled, perfect bound, loop bound, or Wire-O bound.
Please note:
These available binding options are entirely dependent upon the number of pages and paper weight selected for your order. This is because there comes a point where the combined paper thickness is too much to effectively staple or stitch together, and will instead need to be held together by adhesive (otherwise known as ‘perfect binding’).

The opposite is true if there are too few pages for perfect binding to work. Our dynamic ordering system is smart enough to know when a limit has been reached, and will automatically switch to the required binding option.

Spine (for Perfect Binding)
If you choose perfect binding you have the option to upload the spine as a separate print file. The spine depth is calculated and displayed in the shopping cart. If you do not upload a print file for your spine it will be left blank.
The spine will also need a 1/8" bleed at the top and bottom.
Completing your order
Before you can complete your order, you must make sure all page placeholders have been completed. For example, if you are ordering 32 pages, all 32 boxes must be filled. If you do not have enough content, you must add blank pages.
